How Boomerang Bet Protects Your Data

A plain-language look at what we collect, why we need it, and how it's kept safe when you play with us in EUR.

Privacy at Boomerang Bet: the detail behind the policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This page goes beyond a standard privacy notice. It explains, step by step, what happens to your information from the moment you register to the moment a withdrawal lands in your bank account or wallet.

Why we collect data in the first place

Every online casino operating for Irish players has to confirm two things before real money moves: who you are, and where your funds come from. This isn't a Boomerang Bet quirk. It's a standard anti-money-laundering and age-verification requirement that applies across the sector, and it's the reason our sign-up form asks for more than just an email address.

At registration we ask for your full name, date of birth, home address and a valid email and phone number. That's enough to open an account and browse the games library. Before your first withdrawal, or once you hit certain deposit thresholds, we'll ask for additional identity verification: a government-issued photo ID (passport or driving licence), and sometimes a recent utility bill or bank statement to confirm your address.

Payment data: what we see and what we don't

When you deposit by Visa or Mastercard, we receive the transaction confirmation and the last four digits of the card number. We never see or store your full card number, CVV or banking password. Those details are handled directly by the card network and our payment processor, not by our own servers.

Revolut and bank transfer deposits work similarly: we see the amount, the timestamp and the sending account reference needed to match the payment to your player account, not your full banking credentials. For crypto deposits in Bitcoin, Ethereum or Tether (USDT), we record the wallet address you send from and the transaction hash on the relevant blockchain, since both are necessary to credit your account correctly and to satisfy source-of-funds checks.

How your data is stored and secured

Account and payment data is encrypted in transit using TLS and held on servers with restricted access, meaning only staff whose job requires it, such as verification and support teams, can view your documents. Passwords are hashed, not stored in readable form, and identity documents submitted for verification are retained only as long as required for compliance and audit purposes, after which they are scheduled for deletion.

We also run fraud-detection checks on login patterns and device fingerprints. If we see a login attempt from a new device or an unusual location, we may lock the account temporarily and ask you to confirm your identity again by email or phone. This is a standard security step, not a penalty.

Who we share data with

  • Payment processors and card networks, to complete deposits and withdrawals
  • Identity verification providers, to confirm age and address where required
  • Game studios such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming and NetEnt, on an anonymised session basis needed to run the games themselves
  • Regulatory or law enforcement bodies, only where we are legally compelled to respond to a formal request
  • Fraud-prevention and anti-money-laundering services, to screen transactions against known risk patterns

We do not sell player data to third parties for marketing purposes. Any marketing emails you receive from us come with an unsubscribe link, and opting out of marketing never affects your ability to play, deposit or withdraw.

Your rights over your own data

You can ask our support team, available in English around the clock, to tell you what personal data we hold on your account, to correct inaccurate details, or to close your account and request deletion of data we're not legally required to retain. Some records, particularly transaction and verification history, must be kept for a set period under financial regulations even after account closure. That retention period and the exact legal basis for it, along with the identity of the registered company that operates Boomerang Bet, are set out in full in the site footer. Please check there for the current detail before relying on it.

If gambling stops feeling fun

Data around deposit and play patterns is also used, on request, to support responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. If you're worried about your own play or someone else's, Problem Gambling Ireland offers free, confidential support at 089 241 5401 or online at https://www.problemgambling.ie/.
